DAY 1 LOISABA, Laikipia
Arrive Loisaba Wilderness – Karibu – Welcome
Afternoon relax or pamper yourself in our tranquil spa with a massage. Late afternoon game drive, exploring vast tracts of unspoilt areas in our private wilderness, observe the wildlife and take in the gorgeous scenery.

Loisaba - 60,000 acres of wilderness in a private conservancy. This stunning lodge, clinging to the edge of a five hundred foot escarpment in Laikipia, has unsurpassed views, which defy description. The lodge, perched on the edge of the plateau looking towards Mount Kenya, has 7 rooms – 4 doubles and 3 twins all with en-suite bathrooms. Loisaba’s starbeds - Kiboko & Koija - each comprise of 2 double sleeping platforms and 1 large family platform (holds 4 people) with ensuite bathroom and shower facilities.

DAY 2 STARBEDS – KIBOKO OR KOIJA
After an early breakfast walk from the Lodge into the valley taking in the panoramic views and if you are lucky – observe the shy greater kudu browsing on the slopes. Other animal encounters may include giraffe, impala and elephant – to name a few. Finally down to the Starbeds where your hosts are Samburu Warriors, clad in traditional regalia, who will serve you a sumptuous lunch. Relax after lunch and when the afternoon heat gives way to the coolness of the African evening, head out for a drive on the plains tracking big mane lions and other game. Return early evening to a roaring camp fire and dinner by candle light, before retiring to your platform for blissful sleep under the canopy of the African sky.

DAY 3 STARBEDS – KIBOKO OR KOIJA
After an early morning breakfast head North and while the morning is still cool, follow the evening tracks and signs left by the wildlife, still fresh in the soft earth, catch the brilliant colours of birdlife feeding from the trees, the busy insects flitting from plant to plant, time is of no essence. Finally a cool drink under the shade of a gnarled acacia tree.

DAY 4 SABUK, Laikipia ( Optional fly camp walking with camels )
An early breakfast awaits before a walk up the valley, heading North with views that will seduce you with their beauty and serenity. Take in the dramatic view which falls away before you with Mount Kenya as its backdrop. The Sabuk camels and trackers will meet you with snacks and cool drinks served on the edge of the cliffs. Ride the camels or amble down to Sabuk Lodge for lunch.
Sabuk is remote and beautiful… an alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District. With five double guest cottages perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro river below, time stands still and the haunting beauty of this wilderness spreads out before you. Forget all about mechanised transport and take a camel assisted walking safari for one or several days. Trekking with the Laikipiak Masai, your professional guide will organise fly camping and walking amongst big game and shaded rest in the cool of the riverine forests.

DAY 5 SABUK ( Optional fly camp walking with camels )
Set off in the cool early morning for a morning’s walk or ride with camels. Led by a professional safari guide and his team of trained Laikipiak Masai, the walk takes you across the hills with glimpses of the Ewaso Nyiro river. Brunch is under the acacia trees. Take an afternoon swim in a natural rock pool. Return to Sabuk for campfire sundowners and dinner.

DAY 6 LOISABA LODGE
After a leisurely breakfast, a gentle game drive back to Loisaba for pampering in the spa, massaging aching muscles and a time to reflect while admiring the beautiful views from the lodge. Late afternoon a gentle drive down to our leopard blind to await the elusive cat, returning for dinner.

OR

After a leisurely breakfast, a gentle game drive, walk, horseride or ride the mountain bikes to explore the vast wilderness of Loisaba, returning for lunch by the pool. Afternoon farewell sundowner, will lead us to some open rocks and an open fire, with breathtaking and dramatic country falling away before you or for those who wish, an evening visit to the leopard blind.

DAY 7 DEPARTURE
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip to be collected for your onward arrangements.

Itinerary Includes: Full board accommodation at Loisaba, Starbeds and Sabuk, All drinks (excluding champagne) at Sabuk and Loisaba, Airport/airstrip transfers, Game drives in 4X4 vehicles, Guided game walks, Park entrance fees & conservation fees, Temporary membership to the Flying Doctors Society, Laundry.
